Job Title: Administrative Assistant
Reports to: Lead Pastor
Status: Part-Time Church Office Position (six hours per week with the potential of ten hours per week at a later time)
Compensation: Salary based on experience and education
Primary Purpose
The primary role of the part-time Administrative Assistant is to aid the pastoral staff in performing their leadership and pastoral duties by providing ministry support through administrative oversight, communications, and office management.
Responsibilities and Expectations
Administration:
-Maintain the following information in the church database:
-Print and fold bulletins.
-Update church calendar of events as needed.
-Assist with Annual Meeting preparations including printed materials as requested by ministry leaders.
-Perform other clerical duties as needed.
Communication:
- Meet with the Pastor on a regular basis for mentoring and to discuss PRRC activities and ministries.
-Inform church staff of activities, meetings, and congregational needs such as funerals, hospitalizations, and life events.
-Send weekly emails to the church email distribution list regarding upcoming worship services, discipleship opportunities, fellowship events, special projects, and other church related activities.
-Answer phone calls during office hours and delegate requests to proper leaders.
-Mail bulletins to shut-ins on a weekly basis.
-Pick up mail from post office on designated office days and distribute to appropriate ministry leaders.
-Update the bulletin board by the front door with church related news, membership life events, new members etc.
-Attend monthly Board meetings.
Office Management:
-Recommend maintenance as needed for all office equipment.
-Order office supplies as needed.
-Keep the church office and vestibule neat and organized. This does not include the Pastor’s office or the duties of the church custodian.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Proficiency in typing, word processing, and data processing.
- Strict confidentiality pertaining to personal matters discussed or written from the church office.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with church office associates and general public.
- Self-directed to work and learn independently.
- In agreement with PRRC Statement of Faith and Doctrine.
- Annual performance evaluation with Staff Relations Team.

- membership status changes
