Job Title: Youth Ministry Coordinator
Reports to: Lead Pastor
Status: Part Time (average of 10 hours per week)
Compensation: Salary based on experience and education
Primary Purpose: To create and maintain a dynamic spiritual community of middle and high school students by teaching them the reality of the fullness of the Gospel through Bible study, prayer, fellowship, worship, mission, and evangelism. The coordinator will equip the youth to live a daily Christ-centered life, while growing in their faith and strengthening their commitment to God and to Port Republic Riverside Church and its values.

Duties, Responsibilities, Expectations:
Teaching & Discipleship:
- Make disciples of youth.
- Teach the Word of God to help the youth grow in their faith by prayerfully preparing curriculum and activities relevant for each age group.
- Organize, assemble, teach, and invest in student leadership.
- Nurture mentoring relationships with students on and off site from PRRC.
- Cultivate an Adult Leadership Team by recruiting, training, and investing in leaders for this ministry.
- Build healthy relationships with parents.
- Utilize social media platforms to connect with youth and to enrich their faith journey.
- Love God, Jesus, and all people. Invest in your personal prayer life.
- Dream, communicate and strategize with leadership team to cast a vision for PRRC youth.
- Meet with the Pastor on a regular basis for coaching and to discuss the youth program.
- Participate in an annual evaluation with Staff Relations Team.
- Plan and execute regular student gatherings to include but not limited to: small groups, spiritual retreats, service projects, mission trips, annual Youth Worship Service, and social activities.
- Communicate with the students, parents, and leaders on a regular basis via e-mail, social media, phone, weekly bulletin, etc.
- Submit a monthly report to the Board that includes previous monthly activities and upcoming activities.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Gifted in teaching, leading and serving and grounded in Biblical knowledge, interpretation, and application.
- Experience in a similar role working with middle and high school students.
- Support of the Pastor(s) in his/her leadership role.
- Agreement with the PRRC Statement of Faith, Doctrine, and ministry mission.
- Relationship building through regular attendance at PRRC Sunday worship service and other church events.
