Youth Ministry Coordinator Job Description

Job Title: Youth Ministry Coordinator (year-round or interim position)
Reports to: Lead Pastor
Status: Part Time (6 to 10 hours per week)
Compensation: $16 per hour
Primary Purpose: To engage with a dynamic spiritual community of middle and high school students and to strengthen their understanding of the fullness of the Gospel through Bible study, prayer, fellowship, worship, mission, and evangelism.

Teaching & Discipleship:
- Teach the Word of God to help the youth grow in their faith by prayerfully preparing lessons, devotions and/or activities relevant to each age group.
- Cultivate a life of Christian discipleship among the students.
- Nurture relationships with students on and off campus.
- Love God, Jesus, and all people. Invest in your personal prayer life.
- Dream, communicate and strategize with Youth Ministry Leadership Team to cast a vision for PRRC youth.
- Meet with the lead pastor for mentoring and to discuss the youth program.
- Communicate with the students, parents, and other Youth Ministry Leaders on a consistent basis via e-mail, social media, phone, etc.
Goals for the Youth Ministry Coordinator:
- Plan and execute regular student gatherings such as small groups, spiritual retreats, service projects, mission trips, annual Youth Worship Service, and other social activities.
- Participate in the monthly PRRC Board meetings.
- Develop an Adult Youth Leadership Team with volunteer PRRC members.
- Nurture healthy relationships with parents.
- Invest in student leadership.
- Utilize social media platforms to connect with youth to enrich their faith journey.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Experience working with middle and high school students.
- Valid driver’s license for three years.
- Agreement with the PRRC Statement of Faith, Doctrine, and social media rules.
- Regular attendance at PRRC Sunday worship service and other church events (unless the interim applicant is an active member at another church whose Statement of Faith and Doctrine are fundamentally in line with PRRC).

Meet Our Youth!
Our youth group is for 6-12th graders who meet to have fun and grow in their faith. Throughout the year, we have Bible studies, events, RENEW Camp, and various service projects. Bring a friend and join us!
