Wednesday - the Best Day of the Week!

Wednesday is a special day here at Port Church!  For ten weeks in the fall and ten more in the spring, we gather for Wednesday at the Port - a meal for the whole community and classes for children and youth.  Meals start at 6:00 pm on Wednesday evenings. Programs for children and youth begin at 6:40 pm. All programs conclude at 7:30 pm.  

A Free Meal for the Community

Wednesday at the Port kicks off with a great home-cooked meal! Our menu changes each week and ranges from turkey and gravy with all the fixin's to pancakes, egg, sausage, and biscuits, from pork tenderloin and brown beans to barbecue sandwiches topped with slaw.  We top it all off with a scrumptious dessert. Best of all, it is free for everyone! Yep, that's right. There is no cost and no catch - just a delicious meal along with good company. While donations are gladly accepted to help us feed more people in need, they are not necessary. Come out and join us - you won't regret it!

Fun and Faith for Youth and Kids

Following our meal, we offer optional educational programs for youth and children who wish to participate. Elementary school children sing music, learn Bible stories, make crafts, play games, and spend good time together.  Middle school and high school youth study programs of interest to them and even have a mission night when they go out into the community to help others.  Nursery care is provided for infants and toddlers. 

Transportation for Children

We offer bus service for children at Black Rock Manufactured Home Community just outside of Grottoes.
